Job Summary
Job Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Pre-K Teacher to join our team at Northeastern Academy & Early Learning Center LLC. As a Lead Pre-K Teacher, you will be responsible for fostering the growth and development of children aged 4 to 5 years in a structured, nurturing, and engaging environment. You will implement age-appropriate activities and lessons that support the children's cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development, preparing them for kindergarten and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote the development of pre-kindergarten-aged children.
  • Create a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and explore.
  • Observe and document children’s behavior, developmental milestones, and progress, providing regular feedback to parents.
  • Lead and supervise a team of assistant teachers, ensuring a positive and collaborative classroom environment.
  • Maintain communication with parents to discuss their child’s activities, milestones, and any concerns.
  • Follow all licensing guidelines, safety protocols, and company policies to provide high-quality care.
  • Promote readiness for kindergarten, fostering a love for learning and supporting children’s school success.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a childcare setting, preferably working with pre-kindergarten-aged children.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and the specific needs of pre-kindergarteners.
  • High school diploma required; Child Development Associate (CDA) or relevant early childhood education coursework preferred.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive, engaging classroom environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay range: $13 - $16 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule:

  • Full-time: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
