Lead Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and is committed to supporting every child's growth and school readiness.

$18 hourly

A Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of children ages 3-4. This role includes:

• Leading classroom instruction.
• Ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Maintaining compliance with state regulations.
• Fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Lead Teacher certification or equivalent, approved by NYS.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a preschool or an early childhood setting.
• Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Niskayuna Community Day Care Center is a small, not-for-profit organization that has been serving Niskayuna and the surrounding area families for over 30 years. We are a play-based Center that focuses on providing a safe and healthy environment for children 18 months to 5 years old to learn and grow throughout their day. We are currently running with four open classrooms, but we hope to open other classrooms when we have more quality staff that we can trust.
