Job Description:
Contrive Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead SQA Engineer to lead our software quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in manual and automated testing, deep knowledge of QA processes, and the ability to guide and mentor a team of QA engineers. You will be responsible for ensuring that our web and mobile applications meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of SQA engineers, providing guidance and support in daily tasks and long-term skill development.
- Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes, strategies, and best practices.
- Design and oversee the execution of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
- Conduct and supervise manual and automated testing for both web and mobile applications across different environments, devices, and browsers.
- Collaborate closely with development, product, and design teams to ensure feature quality and UI/UX consistency.
- Perform and manage regression, functional, performance, and usability testing cycles.
- Ensure effective bug tracking, prioritization, and resolution using tools like JIRA or equivalent.
- Prepare detailed quality reports, metrics, and documentation for management and stakeholders.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and project review meetings to align QA efforts with project goals.
Requirements:
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies.
- Proficiency in manual testing, API testing (Postman), and familiarity with tools like JIRA, TestLink, and automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Experience in database testing with SQL queries.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
