Lead QA Engineer

Define and champion the long-term Quality Assurance vision and strategy, ensuring it aligns with the company’s engineering and business goals.
Oversee the quality lifecycle for multiple product lines, balancing resource allocation and release timelines.
Standardize testing methodologies, metrics, and tools across all teams to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Collaborate with the Head of Engineering and Product to define quality gates and release criteria.
Establish and track key quality metrics (e.g., Defect Escape Rate, Test Coverage, Cycle Time) to identify areas for process improvement.
Provide advanced mentorship to Senior QA Engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
Lead the strategy for non-functional testing, including Security (OWASP), Performance, and Reliability testing across the organization.
Lead efforts to prevent major business risks through proactive risk analysis and management during the release process.
Communicate quality status, risks, and strategic decisions effectively to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a significant amount of time in a lead or management role.
Proven ability to define QA strategy for complex, enterprise-grade software products.
Deep expertise in automation architectures, CI/CD strategies, and modern testing stacks.
Experience managing high-performing QA teams, conducting performance reviews, and hiring.
Exceptional ability to assess risk and make critical go/no-go release decisions under pressure.
Understanding of the specific challenges regarding testing AI models and Big Data applications is a strong plus.
Excellent leadership, communication (both written and verbal), and conflict resolution skills.
Experience leading complex migrations or establishing QA processes in greenfield environments.
