Lead Quality Engineer

Job Title: Lead Quality Assurance

Location: Sasewadi, Pune

Experience:3-5Years

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Lead Quality Assurance to ensure the reliability, performance, and manufacturability of our Power Supplies, LED Lights, LED Displays, and Embedded Systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Inward Quality, Line Quality & Outward Quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inward Quality (Incoming Material Inspection)

• Oversee inspection of raw materials, bought-out items, and third-party supplies.
• Approve/reject incoming lots based on inspection results and quality standards.
• Coordinate with procurement/suppliers for corrective actions on non-conformities.
• Maintain vendor quality records and initiate supplier development actions.

2. Line Quality (In-Process Inspection & Control)

• Monitor quality checks at different stages of production.
• Ensure adherence to control plans, work instructions, and process parameters.
• Lead root cause analysis for in-process rejections and support corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Provide guidance to operators and line inspectors for quality compliance.

3. Outward Quality (Final Inspection & Dispatch Quality)

• Ensure all finished products are inspected and conform to customer specifications.
• Authorize final product clearance for dispatch.
• Handle customer complaints, lead investigations, and implement permanent solutions.
• Maintain final inspection records and ensure traceability.

4. People & Process Leadership

• Lead and guide a team of QA inspectors/engineers across shifts.
• Allocate inspection activities and monitor performance.
• Provide training on inspection methods, standards, and quality tools.
• Support internal/external audits and compliance with ISO/TS standards.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of inward, in-process, and final quality control.
• Proficiency in problem-solving tools (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
• Ability to manage a team and coordinate across departments.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of quality documentation, ISO/QMS requirements

Key Qualifications & Skills: •

• Education: B E/B Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
• Experience: 3-4 years in Quality Assurance of power electronics, LED lighting, embedded systems, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of SMPS, LED drivers, power electronics, and embedded system testing.
• Familiarity with industry standards like BIS, IEC, EN, and UL.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, and Production teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
