Lead Server

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Server to join our upscale dining team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and extensive knowledge of food and beverage service in a fine dining environment. As a Lead Server, you will oversee daily service operations, mentor junior staff, and ensure guests receive an outstanding dining experience. This role requires a professional with a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the serving team to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced fine dining setting
  • Take orders accurately using Toast POS system and manage guest transactions efficiently
  • Provide personalized recommendations, upselling, and suggestive sales to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales revenue
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness of service stations, tables, and dining areas in compliance with sanitation standards
  • Handle guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations
  • Support training new staff on service standards, POS systems like Toast and Tock, and restaurant procedures
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize restaurant capacity during peak hours

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is required; fine dining experience is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience as a server or team lead in a hospitality setting
  • Proficiency with POS systems including Toast POS, and Tock is essential
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations professionally
  • Experience with upselling techniques and sales-driven approaches to enhance guest experience
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a high-volume environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management

Pay: $23.62 - $28.45 per hour
