Lead Software Engineer

Scope: As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and deploying advanced integrations and automation solutions, ensuring seamless interoperability between ServiceNow and external applications. Your expertise will contribute to enterprise-level efficiencies by automating workflow processes and enhancing operational effectiveness.
Technical Environment:
  • Software: JavaScript, C#, Node.js, Python, REST API, OAuth
  • Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, Serverless, Application Service)
  • Frameworks/Others: Event Driven, Composable Architecture, Open Source Tools
  • Application Architecture: Scalable, Resilient, Cloud Native Architecture
Key Responsibilities:
Integrations:
  • Architect and implement secure integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Utilize IntegrationHub, Scripted REST APIs, Flow Designer, and MID Server to develop robust integration solutions.
  • Facilitate efficient data exchanges with systems like Azure AD, Salesforce, and third-party applications.
  • Implement secure authentication methods (OAuth, Basic Auth, certificates).
  • Identify and resolve complex integration challenges to ensure optimal performance.
  • Create reusable components to drive scalable integration strategies.
Automation:
  • Develop end-to-end workflow automations using ServiceNow’s Flow Designer, IntegrationHub spokes, and Business Rules.
  • Automate ITSM processes such as incident routing, service request fulfillment, approvals, and notifications.
  • Design event-driven automations triggered by alerts, schedules, or external system inputs.
  • Create orchestration workflows for infrastructure tasks like user provisioning and access management.
  • Analyze manual processes to identify areas for automation across ITSM modules.
  • Ensure proper error handling, logging, and monitoring of automated workflows.
What We Are Looking For:
  • A professional with 7-10 years of experience in application integrations and development.
  • Expertise in real-time API integration and management, especially for cloud and on-prem systems.
  • Proficiency in C#/Node.js, with experience in graph databases like CosmosDB or Neo4j.
  • Strong background in API product installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth knowledge of API management, REST, SOA, and secure authentication practices.
  • Ability to execute high-impact projects effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting.
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud technologies and database programming.
  • Desired: Experience with Scrum-based delivery and open source tools.
