The Position

We are seeking a high-impact Lead Automation Analyst to join our team. The hired individual will own automation strategy end-to-end: from framework design to pipeline integration and defect detection.

This is not a QA support role. You’ll lead the charge to reduce manual testing, improve CI/CD efficiency, and ensure quality throughout our UI migration and AWS readiness efforts. If you’re a builder who treats test automation like a product, you’ll thrive here.

The successful hire will be located and work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Key Responsibilities

o Build and maintain UI automation using Playwright (JavaScript)

o Translate manual tests and user stories into automated test coverage

o Apply scalable patterns (POM / Component Model) for reusable test code

o Prioritize tests that cover critical workflows and reduce regression risk

o Debug failing tests quickly; collaborate with devs to resolve root causes

o Identify and stabilize flaky tests

o Integrate tests into Azure DevOps pipelines

o Ensure fast, reliable test feedback across environments

o Contribute to AWS readiness using service mocks, dashboards, and observability tools

o Work closely with developers, QA, and PMs to understand workflows and prioritize coverage

o Maintain traceability between user stories, manual tests, and automation

o Promote QA best practices and mentor others (even informally)
