Lead Teacher Daycare/Preschool

Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Lead Teacher in our dynamic daycare and preschool setting! Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Lead classroom activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and positive interactions among children
  • Monitor and assess individual progress, tailoring activities to meet diverse needs including those of children with disabilities or special educational requirements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
  • Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication about their child's development and daily experiences
  • Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management strategies to promote respectful and cooperative interactions
  • Supervise assistant teachers and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training in childcare best practices

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in daycare or preschool settings, including toddler care and infant care
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies
  • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills with the ability to create a nurturing yet structured learning environment
  • Experience in teaching or nannying roles involving caregiving, babysitting, or working with children of various ages
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families, colleagues, and community resources
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude and energetic approach
