Job Summary LOVE and LEARN

Under the direction of the leadership team, the Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing the provided curriculum. The teacher will also develop and maintain positive relationships with children and families, while creating a safe, and welcoming environment within their classroom.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Instruct, and supervise students, in a variety of learning and play activities to address all areas of development
• Provide constant supervision of children
• Engage with children during all activities to model appropriate social interactions and build/maintain trusting relationships
• Implement provided curriculum
• Continuously evaluate student progress. Identify and communicate concerns with families to allow children to reach their full potential.
• Engage in frequent, and positive, communication with families regarding building policies, events, and other pertinent information.

Requirements

• Background check/fingerprinting (Prior to official employment offer-will be completed by Love N’ Learn)
• CMG Safe Environment Training (Prior to official employment offer-Love N’ Learn leadership will provide needed instructions)
• Obtain certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR (May be obtained within 30 calendar days after the date of employment)
• Complete18hr Health and Safety Training Course (May be obtained within 30 calendar days after the date of employment)
• Complete staff orientation at time of employment
• Complete 16 clock-hours of approved in-service training annually
• Be 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• College hours in Early Childhood Education, or related field
• Work experience in childcare, PreK, or related field
• Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies

We are excited to have a completely renovated facility, and to begin implementing a new curriculum and communication app. Love N’ Learn is located on the campus of Salina Catholic Schools and has been a staple childcare option for our community, providing quality childcare for many years.
