Lead Technician – ELV Projects

Job Summary:

The Lead Technician – ELV Projects is responsible for supervising and executing the installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems at project sites. The role involves leading technicians and helpers, ensuring work is completed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the installation of ELV systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Gate Barrier, Structured Cabling, Intercom, Public Address (PA), SMATV, and other security systems.
• Allocate tasks to technicians and helpers and ensure proper coordination at the project site.
• Read and interpret project drawings, layouts, and technical documents.
• Ensure correct installation practices, cable routing, termination, labeling, and equipment mounting.
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and support commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and other contractors to ensure timely project completion.
• Ensure all work is carried out according to company standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Maintain site documentation, installation records, and material usage reports.
• Assist in identifying material requirements and report shortages to the project team.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians and helpers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in ELV systems installation, preferably in project environments.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Gate Barrier, Structured Cabling, and other ELV systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership ability to manage technicians and helpers at the site.
• Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills are an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English
• UAE Driving Driving License
