Lead Technician Mechanical
India
Technician – Fitter Welder with an ITI certification and a minimum of 7 to 8 years of hands-on experience in welding and fitting operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fitting tasks as per engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding machines.
- Assemble and install mechanical components and structures.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repair of welding tools and equipment.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to ensure quality and safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- ITI certification in Fitter/Welder or equivalent trade.
- Minimum 7 to 8 years of relevant experience in welding and fitting.
- Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in fabrication and structural welding. with Assembly & dismantling the equipment
