Job Description:

SSEM is looking for highly skilled and experienced Lead Testing Mechanical Engineer to join our Testing & Commissioning Department.

As a Lead Testing Mechanical Engineer, you will take charge of the mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities across major water treatment infrastructure projects. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring all mechanical systems meet design and operational standards beforehand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical pre-commissioning/commissioning activities.
  • Supervise and ensure compliance with mechanical installation and testing requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues affecting plant performance.
  • Review and approve piping layouts, technical documents, test reports, and inspection records.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (process, electrical, instrumentation, vendors, and clients).
  • Maintain documentation of commissioning procedures and ensure handover readiness.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience in KSA/SEC CSD Approval is added Value.
  • 7–10 years in mechanical engineering roles. At least 3–5 years of hands-on commissioning experience in water treatment projects.
  • Expertise in pumps, high-pressure vessels, piping systems, chemical dosing systems, and RO-specific equipment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Ability to work with technical documentation, compliance standards, and client specifications.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
