Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of toddler-aged children. The Teacher will be responsible for implementing age-appropriate activities, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering positive relationships with students and their families.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all students.
  • Foster children's social skills through play-based learning and group activities.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas, including language, motor skills, and social interactions.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's development and classroom activities.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that promotes learning and exploration.
  • Provide care for infants or toddlers when necessary, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting is essential.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • First aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills to create an effective learning environment.
  • Experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
