Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire young minds and foster a nurturing, engaging learning environment for children in our toddler program. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing developmentally appropriate activities, managing classroom routines, and supporting the social-emotional growth of each child. Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in toddlers
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
  • Manage daily routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and consistency
  • Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, documenting milestones and communicating with parents regularly
  • Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote cooperation, respect, and emotional regulation among children
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or caregivers to ensure high-quality care and educational standards are maintained
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety policies, including first aid procedures and sanitation protocols

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting, with classroom management skills
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, parents, and team members in a nurturing manner
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information to families and colleagues
  • Ability to implement behavior management techniques that support positive social interactions
  • Prior experience in childcare roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not mandatory
