Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Foster a nurturing environment that supports social-emotional development, independence, and positive behavior management among toddlers.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and build strong partnerships centered on each child's well-being.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and caregivers, promoting teamwork and professional growth within the classroom.
- Implement safety protocols diligently, including first aid procedures, emergency responses, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free space.
- Incorporate inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs, adapting activities to meet diverse learning requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of developmental milestones, attendance records, and daily reports in compliance with licensing regulations.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in daycare or early childhood education settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Experience in behavior management techniques suitable for young children to promote positive interactions.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certifications such as first aid and CPR are required; additional training in special education or caregiving is a plus.
- Previous nannying or babysitting experience working with infants or young children can be valuable assets.
