Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early childhood years. In this vital role, you will lead a dynamic classroom environment dedicated to fostering growth, curiosity, and independence among toddlers. Your enthusiasm and expertise will create a safe, engaging space where children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills. As the leader of your classroom team, you will ensure that every child receives personalized attention and high-quality care aligned with early childhood education standards.

Duties

  • Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in toddlers.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming environment that supports each child's individual needs and interests.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and caregivers to ensure consistent delivery of quality care and education.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and developmental milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and sanitation protocols.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's development, behavior, and achievements.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques to promote respectful interactions among children.
  • Incorporate special education strategies when working with children with disabilities or additional needs to support inclusive learning experiences.
  • Lead emergency response procedures confidently in case of incidents or injuries, utilizing first aid skills as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, particularly with toddlers.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
  • Demonstrated classroom management skills to create a structured yet flexible learning environment.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
  • Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
  • Ability to lead a team with enthusiasm while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
