Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood development, including play-based learning and structured educational routines.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with preschool standards and individual child needs.
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and caregivers to ensure high-quality care and educational practices.
• Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, documenting milestones and communicating with parents regularly.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance strategies, fostering social skills and emotional regulation.
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health protocols, and safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, particularly with toddlers.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and caregiving techniques tailored for young children.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, team members, and community partners.
• Ability to lead a team confidently while maintaining a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play.
