Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture the youngest learners in our early childhood education program. As a vital member of our team, you will lead classroom activities, foster a safe and engaging environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers. Your enthusiasm for teaching and caregiving will help create a positive foundation for each child's early learning journey. Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers’ needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Create a warm, welcoming classroom environment that promotes exploration, creativity, and social-emotional development.
  • Lead daily activities including playtime, circle time, arts and crafts, and outdoor experiences that support childhood development milestones.
  • Monitor and document each child's progress, behaviors, and individual needs to inform ongoing planning and communication with families.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, including supervising children during activities and maintaining a clean, hazard-free classroom.
  • Provide guidance on behavior management using positive reinforcement techniques to foster cooperation and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with licensing regulations, health standards, and best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or daycare setting, preferably with preschool or toddler care experience.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education strategies.
  • Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
  • Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to nurture and motivate children through engaging activities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effectively partnering with families, colleagues, and community resources.
  • Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities such as diapering, feeding, and supervising active toddlers throughout the day.
