Lead Toddler Teacher

Responsibilities

  • Implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on toddler care, literacy education, and early childhood development principles.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, motor skills, and early math concepts in line with other educational frameworks.
  • Manage classroom routines including lesson planning, behavior management strategies, and transition procedures to ensure a structured yet flexible learning environment.
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs related to special education or early intervention services, and foster positive relationships.
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of childcare and classroom management.
  • Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and inform instructional strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, child welfare policies, and licensing requirements while maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting, particularly with toddlers.
  • Strong background in early childhood education principles such as curriculum development, lesson planning, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
  • Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention strategies, literacy education methods.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, colleagues, and community partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing atmosphere that promotes learning through play.
  • Relevant certifications in early childhood education or childcare licensing requirements; additional training in childhood development or special education is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs while maintaining compliance with state standards for preschool programs. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
