Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will lead a classroom of preschool-aged children, implementing engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration. Your expertise in early childhood education will be essential in guiding children through their formative years.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
- Create lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical education activities.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and supports childhood development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, utilizing behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and standardized testing results.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations and standards.
Skills
- Strong background in early childhood education with experience working in preschool settings.
- Proficient in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to young learners.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management strategies.
- Experience in behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus.
- Ability to provide care for toddlers while promoting their independence and self-confidence.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support in literacy and math is beneficial.
