Lead Toddler Teacher and/or Floater

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the development of toddlers while ensuring their safety and well-being. You will also play a key role in guiding and mentoring assistant teachers or floaters within the classroom.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote childhood development and learning.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for toddlers.
  • Manage classroom activities, ensuring effective behavior management strategies are in place.
  • Provide individualized attention to children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff through effective communication.
  • Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom that meets health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Supervise assistant teachers or floaters, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
  • Experience in toddler care, infant care, or similar caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting.
  • Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
  • First aid certification is preferred; additional training in special education is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
