Learning & Development Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW
Ravago Americas is seeking a detail-oriented Learning & Development Coordinator to provide essential operational support to the L&D team. This part-time role focuses on learning management system administration, compliance tracking, training coordination, and employee support. The ideal candidate will excel at managing learning platforms, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless execution of training programs across the organization.
Work Arrangement: Part-time, up to 15 hours per week

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
  • Create, modify, and maintain Learning & Development courses in the Dayforce Learning Platform
  • Build shell courses for in-person instruction across multiple training types
  • Develop computer-based training (CBT) courses for various sites, including safety and compliance training
  • Collaborate with Todd Johnson and Cheryl Rutledge's team to ensure course content accuracy and quality
  • Designate course managers to oversee specific courses, including tracking and modifying attendance records
  • Maintain course catalogs, prerequisites, and learning pathways within Dayforce Learning
Compliance Tracking & Respectful Workplace Training
  • Maintain compliance tracking for Respectful Workplace training, a required course for all Ravago Americas employees
  • Manage seven distinct state-specific Respectful Workplace courses, including both supervisory and non-supervisory versions
  • Monitor employee completion status and send follow-up communications to ensure compliance
  • Generate and maintain attendance tracking reports for compliance purposes
  • Coordinate with HR leadership to address non-compliance and ensure timely course completion
In-Person Training Coordination & Communication
  • Track enrollments and completion status for all in-person training sessions
  • Send pre-course communications to participants, including session details, logistics, and preparation requirements
  • Coordinate logistics for in-person training sessions, particularly for programs requiring travel
  • Provide participants with comprehensive information regarding venue, travel arrangements, and session schedules
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and post-session documentation
Employee Support & Inquiry Management
  • Manage the Training.Amer@ravago.com inbox and respond to employee training inquiries
  • Direct employees to appropriate training resources for both virtual and in-person learning opportunities
  • Provide information about available courses, enrollment processes, and training schedules
  • Escalate custom learning requests and complex inquiries to the L&D Director as appropriate
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with employees regarding training matters
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • 2-4 years of experience in training coordination, HR operations, or learning management system administration
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems; Dayforce Learning experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking and reporting
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business, or related field
  • Experience with Dayforce HRIS and Learning modules
  • Knowledge of compliance training requirements and tracking methodologies
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, or e-learning content development
  • Experience coordinating training logistics for multi-site organizations
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
