Learning Support Assistant

Egypt Education Platform is currently seeking a highly dedicated and skilled Learning Support Assistant to enhance the educational experience for students with diverse learning needs at GEMS British International School of Madinaty . The appointee will work closely with educators to ensure that all students receive the necessary support tailored to their individual requirements, thereby promoting an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the delivery of tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring adherence to their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with teachers to facilitate the adaptation of classroom activities and materials to meet the varying needs of students.
• Monitor and track individual student performance, behavioral progress, and engagement levels, providing relevant feedback to instructional staff.
• Support the development of students’ social skills, encouraging participation and collaboration in classroom settings.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities to remain current with best practices in educational support.
• Promote a safe and nurturing environment conducive to the academic and personal growth of all students.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Education, Special Education, or a closely related field.
• Prior experience in a learning support role or equivalent experience in an educational setting is preferred.
• A thorough understanding of the various barriers to learning and effective strategies to support students.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to liaise effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
• Demonstrable patience, empathy, and a supportive demeanor in working with students.
• Ability to remain organized and effectively manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive practices and promoting the well-being of all learners in an educational setting.
