Position Summary:
The Learning Systems Specialist is a vital member of the Technology Services Department
responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of the tools that let our systems talk to
each other, including Classlink and Google Workspace. This role manages the complete lifecycle of
all user accounts, ensures seamless integration and accurate rostering of online educational
platforms, and provides L2 technical support for various systems like Envoy, GoFMX, and
PowerSchool.
The Learning Systems Specialist is a connector. He or she has the technical ability to configure and
maintain the platforms we use to connect one data set to another; knows what a VLOOKUP is and
why it’s the most important function to connect one spreadsheet to another; can work
cross-functionally to connect one department’s needs to the technology service that can meet them;
and has the patience and people skills to connect parents with the tech support resources they
need. The person in this position also takes ownership over problems, seeing them from the user’s
perspective and working with the rest of the Technology Services problem to resolve them in a
sustainable way. Finally, the ideal candidate is a self-starter who works well independently but isn’t
afraid to ask for help when needed, and who can put in the work needed to reach a level of
excellence but have fun with the team while doing it.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer the Classlink and Onesync platform for rostering educational platforms and syncing data between core and peripheral systems
- Manage the lifecycle of all accounts (faculty, staff, student, family, institutional, parent and student organization) and groups in Google Workspace and Active Directory.
- Manage the lifecycle of other account data (phone and office directory, signature, access control, etc.)
- Support the Academic Technology Coordinator and Senior Network Engineer in managing Google Workspace settings
- Maintain and support Google shared drives and calendars used for departmental, divisional and cross-functional collaboration
- Administer online educational resources, including setting up SSO integration and maintaining accurate rosters.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of new platforms
- Provide L2 support and administration for other existing platforms including Envoy, GoFMX,
- Finalsite, and PowerSchool
- Ensure a seamless user experience across educational technology services by ensuring alignment of documented policies and actual practices and identifying opportunities to optimize existing processes
- Support investigations of online services for integration, administration and management
- Create and maintain internal and customer-facing documentation about relevant processes
- Collaborate with the Director of IT, division principals and administration on annual renewals
- for software and maintain digital records of subscriptions and accounts
- Liaise with publishers, the divisions and learning systems team to ensure new subscription
- requests adhere to GDPR and COPPA regulations
- Provide support as needed for online services, which may require meetings outside working
- hours for companies outside the MENA region
- Provide ongoing support to the parent community in accessing school services
- Provide onboarding and offboarding support and on-demand training to support staff
- Monitor website changes and update permissions when needed
- Take on other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- College or professional degree preferred
- Prior relevant experience
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Familiarity with Google Apps (Gmail, Online Calendars, Shared drive, etc)
- Experience and proficient working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing
- Must be team oriented and able to consult and collaborate with multiple departments for
- multiple projects
- Tactful, professional and able to maintain confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more prior years of experience in a related field
- Have the knowledge and aptitude to work in support of a data driven environment
- Experience in an educational setting

Terms of Employment
This position is classified as a sponsored support staff position and is on an annual limited period
contract. General working hours are from 7:45 am - 3:45 pm, Monday through Thursday and 7:45
am - 12:15 pm (on site) & 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm (remote/flexible) on Fridays. In some cases, flexibility
with work hours is requested to meet the needs of the role.
Friday is considered as a full working day for employees and the school reserves the right to
schedule afternoon meetings and/or events where the employee’s presence is required. Employees
should plan to be available and ready to respond to work-related requests on Friday afternoons
unless an approved leave of absence has been applied for and approved through the usual and
customary leave request process in advance. Any absence on a Friday will be considered a full-day
absence.
