We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused professional to serve as our Leasing Manager. The successful candidate will lead leasing operations, drive occupancy and revenue goals, ensure exceptional resident and tenant experiences, and manage a team of leasing and administrative staff. This role requires strong operational leadership, leasing and marketing expertise, excellent communication skills, and a focus on continuous improvement and compliance.
Lead and manage day-to-day leasing operations including property tours, lease execution, renewals, move-ins, move-outs, and resident onboarding to ensure high occupancy and positive tenant experiences.
Develop and implement leasing strategies and marketing plans to drive traffic, convert prospects, and optimize rental rates and concessions while balancing occupancy and revenue targets.
Own resident retention and renewal programs: analyze churn drivers, propose and implement retention initiatives, and monitor renewal rates and lease terms to maximize lifetime value.
Manage lease administration and documentation: ensure accurate lease preparation, execution, amendments, and secure storage of tenant records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Establish and monitor KPIs and reporting for occupancy, lease conversion, days on market, rent growth, delinquency, and renewal performance; analyze trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with property management, maintenance, and finance teams to prioritize move-ins, prepare units for occupancy, and resolve resident issues in a timely manner; support cross-functional planning for promotions and seasonal campaigns.
Manage relationships with brokers, listing services, and third-party vendors to expand lead sources, negotiate agreements, and ensure effective representation of available inventory.
Implement and maintain leasing systems and CRM tools; optimize workflows and automation for lead tracking, follow-up, and lease processing to improve efficiency and conversion.
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing leasing team; create standard operating procedures, scripts, and training materials to ensure consistent execution and effective onboarding.
Ensure compliance with fair housing laws, lease regulations, privacy requirements, and company policies; enforce best practices for applicant screening and documentation.
Drive cost-effective leasing operations through process improvements, vendor management, and data-driven decision making while maintaining service quality and resident satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Hospitality, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
5+ years of progressive experience in leasing, property management, or multifamily operations with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Demonstrated expertise in leasing processes, resident relations, lease administration, and marketing for occupancy growth.
Proven ability to manage KPIs and operational reporting; comfortable translating metrics into actionable improvement plans.
Experience with property management and leasing systems (e.g., Yardi, RealPage, Entrata) and familiarity with CRM and online listing platforms.
Strong vendor and broker management skills including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and partner development.
Excellent communication, customer service, and collaboration skills; ability to coordinate across operations, maintenance, and finance teams and present clearly to leadership.
Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities with a focus on building inclusive, high-performing teams.
Certifications or licensing relevant to property management or real estate (e.g., Certified Apartment Manager, real estate license) are a plus.
Experience in multifamily, mixed-use, or commercial leasing environments with fast leasing cycles and high tenant turnover.
Familiarity with digital marketing, SEO, paid listings, and lead-generation tools to support leasing campaigns and tenant acquisition.
Background in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean) and experience leading process or service quality improvement projects.
Full-time position with an onsite or hybrid work model depending on property needs and geographic location; flexible scheduling may be required to support leasing events and evening/weekend tours.
