Lecturer – Communication and Media
Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and qualified Lecturer in Communication and Media to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supporting student learning, and contributing to the academic development of communication, media, and related programmes.
This position is with a new private university in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in partnership with a UK university. The institution is committed to delivering high-quality, internationally aligned education and offers lecturers the opportunity to contribute to the establishment and growth of new academic programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars in Communication and Media–related subjects
- Prepare teaching materials, lesson plans, and assessments aligned with programme requirements
- Assess and moderate student coursework, presentations, and examinations
- Provide academic guidance and feedback to students
- Participate in curriculum development and academic meetings
- Ensure teaching quality aligns with institutional and regulatory standards
- Contribute to a professional, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Master’s degree in Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field
- Teaching experience at university or higher education level (preferred)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage students in both theoretical and applied learning
Desirable:
- PhD or professional doctorate (or currently pursuing)
- Industry experience in media, communication, or creative industries
- Experience with UK-style or international higher education systems
- Experience supervising student projects or media-based assessments
