Overview
Seeking a Legal and Contract Administrator I to support a Global Legal team, and oversee the contract management process and procure-to-pay platform, supporting lawyers and business stakeholders to effectively prepare, manage, and execute contract documents while maintaining the contract database.
In this capacity, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all U.S. contract management system users and support the Legal team with the preparation and management of routine contract templates, including Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and consulting agreements.
This role requires strong administrative and project management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with global stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in contract administration, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, and experience working cross-functionally across multiple business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the contract lifecycle process for the U.S. Legal team using an integrated procure-to-pay system.
  • Oversee contract processing, including monitoring status, responding to business owner inquiries, managing execution via DocuSign, and ensuring accurate record creation and filing.
  • Support the enhancement of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system using Ironclad.
  • Prepare and review a variety of transactional agreements by:
    • Reviewing contracts for accuracy and completeness.
    • Collecting and organizing supporting documentation, attachments, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Compliance, and Safety teams, as well as external vendors, to address contract-related inquiries.
  • Ensure metadata accuracy for all fully executed contracts prior to entry into the legal repository.
  • Work independently and efficiently within the contract request process and associated review and approval workflows.
  • Assist the U.S. Legal team with special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 1+ years of contract administration experience in a professional office environment required; experience within a legal office or life sciences organization strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience accepted.
  • Hands-on experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems required; Ironclad experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts and contract management.
  • Project management experience highly preferred.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with e-signature platforms (e.g., DocuSign) required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, including senior management.
  • Strong sense of professionalism, confidentiality, and accountability.
