Legal Assistant

Sconzo Law Office, a small size law firm based in Palm Beach Gardens, is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to support our employment law practice. Our firm represents employees in workplace discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination matters, with most cases filed in federal court.

The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of handling a fast-paced litigation practice. This position involves working directly with attorneys and clients to ensure cases move efficiently through every stage of litigation.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing attorney calendars, deadlines, and court schedules
• Handling client intake and communication
• Preparing, proofreading, and filing pleadings, discovery responses, and correspondence
• Tracking case progress and maintaining organized case files
• Assisting with hearing, mediation, and trial preparation

Qualifications:

• Prior litigation experience (employment law experience preferred, but not required)
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, counsel, and court staff
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with federal e-filing systems (CM/ECF)
• Academic excellence can substitute for direct experience
