Position: Legal Assistant
Location: Trenton, NJ

Job Summary:
The Senior Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive secretarial and paralegal support in a legal environment. This role involves preparing, reviewing, and managing legal documents and case files with accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe and type legal dictation accurately.
  • Prepare and proofread legal briefs, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Verify citations and legal references for accuracy and completeness.
  • Draft affidavits, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Maintain and organize confidential case files and electronic records.
  • Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate logistics.
  • Assist in case preparation, including summarizing depositions and preparing exhibits.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, mail distribution, and client communication.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in legal transcription, document preparation, and proofreading.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Experience with case management and litigation support.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems.
  • Paralegal training or equivalent experience preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: Up to $24.24 per hour
