These positions are time-limited, grant funded, full-time. Funding for these positions will end on June 30, 2026.
The Office of the District Attorney, Mecklenburg County, seeks two (2) qualified individuals to provide support services for the office attorneys. Perform a variety of duties including, but not limited to legal document preparation, heavy typing, criminal case management, file preparation, answering telephone calls and daily filing. A successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills. This is a county contract position that will end on June 30, 2026.

Minimum Education and Experience
Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both. Graduation from high school or high school equivalency certificate and two (2) years of legal secretarial experience.
Management prefers candidates with experience as a legal assistant with knowledge of court procedures; considerable experience with Microsoft Office products and Outlook is desired.
