Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A., an AV-rated firm and Florida’s largest litigation firm, is seeking a full-time, experienced Legal Assistant for its Pensacola office. Candidates must have at least 3 years of recent civil litigation experience. Insurance defense experience is preferred. A working knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook are a must. Please note: this is an in-office position based in Pensacola, Florida.
Job duties include but are not limited to: managing case files; preparing correspondence, pleadings and discovery; service and e-filing of pleadings and discovery; scheduling depositions, mediations and hearings; assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, mediations, hearings, trials and conferences; managing attorney calendar; and additional duties as required by Managing Attorney/Office Manager.
This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability stay calm under pressure of multiple deadlines.
