The Department of the Prosecuting Attorney is looking for a knowledgeable Legal Clerk I to support prosecuting attorneys with preparing, checking and processing legal forms, documents, and related materials, locating and abstracting information from legal files and records, and gathering and organizing relevant material for use in legal proceedings along with other related duties as required. Some experience using the Hawaii State Judiciary Electronic Filing and Service Systems (JEFS) and basic knowledge of law office case management software is preferred. Career ProgressionThere is room for career growth as you work to progressively advance in the legal clerk series from a Legal Clerk I up to a Legal Clerk IV position. Experienced and knowledgeable legal clerks can later apply to be a Supervising Legal Clerk I, and advance up to Supervising Legal Clerk II with satisfactory work experience and demonstration of applicable knowledge and skills.
