Job Title: Legal Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Consultant to join our team on a major railway infrastructure project. The Legal Consultant will be responsible for ensuring that all project activities comply with legal standards, industry regulations, and company policies. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of railway regulations, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal document review: Review the contracts and legal documents of the project.

Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret changes in project regulations, safety standards, environmental laws, and other relevant legislation to ensure project adherence.

Policy Implementation: Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices in railway infrastructure projects.

Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Audit and Reporting: Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations for improvement.

Investigations: Lead investigations into alleged violations of regulations or company policies, ensuring thorough documentation and appropriate corrective actions.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure that all parties understand and adhere to compliance requirements.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the compliance program and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.

Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, including training logs, audit reports, and incident investigations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law. A Master's degree is preferred.

Qualified certification of Legal Consultants in Dubai is a must

At least 3-5 years of experience in compliance roles, preferably in the railway or transportation sector.

Strong knowledge of project regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with various stakeholders in Arabic and English.

Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with project management software and tools.

Knowledge of international railway standards and regulations.
