Legal Counsel

Job Overview:

The Legal Counsel is responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters of the company, ensuring compliance with UAE laws and regulations, and protecting the company’s interests across its contracting and development activities. This role involves coordinating with external law firms, drafting and reviewing contracts, managing labor-related complaints with the Ministry of Labor, and advising management on legal risks. The Legal Counsel will act as the primary point of contact for all legal documentation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory and Compliance

  • Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, labor, and contractual matters to safeguard the company’s interests.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor law, commercial law, and other applicable regulations affecting the company’s operations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise management on necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and revise contracts, agreements, and legal documents in Arabic and English.
  • Ensure contracts are aligned with company policies and protect the company against potential risks and liabilities.
  • Support project teams in contract negotiations and interpretation of contract terms.

Coordination with External Legal Firms

  • Liaise with external law firms on litigation, arbitration, and other disputes.
  • Coordinate legal strategies, documentation, and reports with appointed legal advisors.
  • Maintain organized records of all external legal correspondence and case files.

Reporting and documentation

  • Prepare detailed reports on ongoing legal cases, risks, and compliance matters for senior management.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of contracts, legal opinions, and case-related documentation.
