A global organization is seeking a Legal Counsel to lead legal operations in Saudi Arabia and provide support across the broader GCC region.


Your new role


This high-impact role requires strong expertise in contract negotiation, legal drafting, regulatory compliance, and public sector engagement, with a deep understanding of the Saudi legal and governmental landscape. The successful candidate will deliver strategic legal advice, manage risk, and support the company’s growth and integrity in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.


Reports to the regional legal leadership and collaborates with executive management across business units.


Responsibilities


  • Provide timely, strategic, and actionable legal advice to management and departments across a wide range of legal matters.
  • Represent the company in key interactions and negotiations with ministries, municipalities, and other regulatory or governmental authorities.
  • Conduct legal research and support strategic initiatives, business transactions, and cross-sector partnerships.
  • Respond to day-to-day legal queries, including documentation and clarifications on local legal requirements.
  • Act as the main point of contact with external counsel in Saudi Arabia.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts (government, commercial, vendor).
  • Maintain and update standard contract templates in coordination with business units.
  • Ensure all agreements align with company policies and Saudi legal standards, mitigating legal and operational risks.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with internal policies, Saudi laws, industry regulations, and relevant international standards.


What you'll need to succeed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or Shariah); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Valid license to practice law in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Native or fluent Arabic and English.
  • A minimum 5 years of experience, ideally within international law firms and/or multinational corporate legal departments.
  • Proven expertise in government contracts and navigating Saudi regulatory frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate and contract law, public procurement, and compliance requirements in the Kingdom.
