Responsibilities



  • Commercial Contract Drafting (English & Arabic): Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts in English and Arabic, ensuring alignment with Group standards and local legal requirements. Prepare and localize agreements including sales and purchase agreements, supply and service agreements, distributorship, dealership, and agency agreements, subcontractor agreements, and marketing or cooperation agreements. Ensure all contracts reflect commercial objectives while mitigating legal and operational risks.
  • Legal Advisory and Risk Assessment: Provide clear, practical legal advice on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters to support business operations across the Middle East and Africa. Conduct legal research and monitor changes in applicable legislation, regulations, and government policies relevant to business. Advise on company setup, regulatory compliance, and commercial practices in new or existing markets. Interpret and communicate complex legal concepts in a concise and business-oriented manner to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Compliance Management: Work closely with (Parent Company) to ensure company compliance with internal policies and applicable laws, including data protection, competition law, anti-bribery, trade control, and labor laws. Identify, assess, and mitigate internal and external legal and compliance risks. Support implementation of compliance initiatives and conduct training sessions for business departments. Contribute to data protection governance, including cross-border data transfer assessments, local data storage, and privacy compliance.
  • Dispute Management and Legal Troubleshooting: Liaise with external counsels and Europe’s legal team on disputes, litigation, and enforcement actions across the Middle East and Africa. Manage claims, respond to legal notices, and recommend risk-mitigation and settlement strategies. Prepare summaries and reports for management and the regional headquarters on the status and strategy of ongoing disputes.
  • Emerging Technologies, AI, and EMEA Legal Collaboration: Monitor and analyze legal and regulatory developments in artificial intelligence (AI), data protection, and technology law within the EMEA region. Advise on compliance with AI-related regulations, data protection, and privacy frameworks. Draft and negotiate technology-related contracts, including those involving AI tools, SaaS platforms, and digital services. Collaborate with IT and Digital Transformation teams to ensure responsible and compliant AI and data practices. Deliver internal training and awareness sessions on emerging legal topics such as AI governance, privacy, and ethical use of data.


Qualifications



  • Education: University degree in law (Master degree is preferable).


Required Skills



  • Minimum 2 years Business law experience in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Ability to report on a regular basis to the board of directors of the Company and to communicate within the Company with sales, engineering, professionals with no legal background, and communicating legal recommendations to business professionals in simple language.
  • Familiar with compliance management/implementation, in data privacy, anti-bribery and trade control laws.
  • Monitor and analyze legal developments in AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
  • Advise on compliance with relevant AI regulations, data protection and privacy laws.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to AI technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT EMEA to ensure legal risks are managed effectively.
  • Provide training and guidance on AI and Technology.
  • Lead initiatives to develop legal frameworks for responsible AI use.


Preferred Skills

  • Excellent communication (presentation, negotiation, influencing) skills, both spoken, written English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Standard Microsoft tools skills such as Excel, Power point and Word.
