Legal Counsel

About Us:
We are a consumer protection and personal injury law firm handling matters nationwide. Our primary office is in Washington, D.C. We are expanding and seeking licensed attorneys in multiple states to serve as local counsel and represent clients within their jurisdictions. Attorneys licensed in multiple states are strongly preferred (and will receive more case assignments).

Position Overview:
This is a flexible, pre-litigation local counsel role. Our team manages all case preparation, negotiations, and documentation. Local counsel attorneys will not need to file pleadings or handle court appearances. In lemon law matters, some cases may require attendance at an arbitration hearing (approximately 2 hours, with all documents prepared by our firm). In personal injury matters, your role is limited to ensuring jurisdictional coverage and compliance in the pre-litigation phase.

Compensation:

• 10% of our fee
• Standard fees range from $4,000 – $12,000 per case, so local counsel compensation typically falls between $400 – $1,200 per matter.
• Engagements are on a case-by-case basis. No billable hours. No quotas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as local counsel in your jurisdiction for lemon law and personal injury matters.
• Enter limited appearances if necessary (pre-litigation only).
• Attend occasional arbitration hearings (approx. 2 hours, not in every case).
• Present case documents prepared by our team.
• Provide jurisdictional presence and ensure compliance with state-specific requirements.
• Communicate with our D.C.-based attorney and case staff as needed.

Pay: $3,857.97 - $8,054.76 per month
