Legal Counsel

Provide legal support on construction contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements, and supplier agreements.

Review, draft, and negotiate contracts in line with UAE laws and industry best practices.

Advise the management and commercial teams on contractual risks, claims, variations, EOTs, and dispute matters.

Handle disputes, claims, and litigation/arbitration matters, including coordination with external legal advisors.

Support compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and internal corporate governance requirements.

Assist in establishing standard contract templates, legal procedures, and risk management frameworks for the company.

Provide legal input during tendering, project execution, and project close-out stages.

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or professional legal qualification is an advantage.

Minimum 8–12 years of relevant legal experience, preferably within the construction or contracting industry in the UAE.

Strong knowledge of UAE laws, construction law, and FIDIC-based contracts (including bespoke conditions).

Experience dealing with claims, disputes, arbitration, and mediation.

Ability to work closely with commercial, contracts, and project teams.

Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Prior experience in setting up or managing a legal function/department will be a strong advantage.
