Position Summary: Provides legal support to the General Counsel, working in assigned areas to partner with members of leadership and other stakeholders to support legal needs for business partners and provide advice on compliance with law, regulation and corporate policy. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating assigned contracts, addressing clinical and/or business concerns by analyzing legal and/or compliance standards, reducing litigation risk through assistance in evaluation of process or development of policy and/or providing advice to stakeholders.
Experience
Required: 5 years of practice experience
Preferred: Experience in compliance, risk, healthcare (preferably in a hospital setting), corporate/contract review
Education
Required: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
License and Credentials
Required: New Jersey license and admission to the New Jersey bar in good standing
Skills
Required: Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are necessary to handle complex legal issues. Working knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and CMS standards.
Preferred: Ability to provide education/speak in public environments
The rate for this position is $125.00 per hour.
