Job Title: Legal Executive

Job Location: Fort, Mumbai with frequent day trips to Alibaug

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Legal Executive to provide administrative and legal support to legal team. The ideal candidate should bring exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency of our legal operations by coordinating day-to-day activities, managing complex schedules, and assisting with legal and compliance matters in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Land Transaction Support:

  • Assist in managing legal documentation related to land transactions, including agreements, sale deeds, purchase agreements, and title verification.
  • Draft, review, and maintain records of property agreements, deeds, and other transactional documents.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared, signed, and filed according to legal requirements.

Coordination with Lawyers:

  • Collaborate with senior legal professionals to ensure that land-related legal processes are completed efficiently.
  • Coordinate with external legal teams and local lawyers in Alibaug to ensure all legal requirements are met for land acquisitions and transactions.
  • Prepare and review reports, legal opinions, and other documents to support the decision-making process.

On-the-Ground Support:

  • Conduct visits to Alibaug for site inspections, liaising with local lawyers, and ensuring smooth execution of land-related tasks.
  • Coordinate land surveys, property verifications, and document collections on-site.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks related to land transactions, including coordinating logistics and documentation.

Liaison with Local Authorities and Stakeholders:

  • Engage with local government authorities and stakeholders in Alibaug to ensure smooth clearance of land transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain relationships with local vendors, surveyors, and other stakeholders for timely execution of land-related activities.

Document Management:

  • Organize and maintain records of all land transaction documents, correspondence, and relevant contracts.
  • Prepare and maintain files for audits, due diligence, and other legal assessments.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion.

Legal Research & Compliance:

  • Assist in legal research related to land laws, zoning, and property regulations in the Alibaug region.
  • Stay up-to-date with any changes in local and national land laws or regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal frameworks for all transactions and activities.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law (L.L.B) or a related field. (Preferred but not required)
  • Certification in Property Law or Real Estate Management is a plus.

Experience:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role related to land transactions, real estate, or property law.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition processes, property documentation, and related legal frameworks.
  • Prior experience working with lawyers, surveyors, or government agencies in Alibaug or nearby areas is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Basic understanding of government websites to obtain title documents is a plus.
  • Ability to manage documents in both physical and digital formats.

Personal Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for legal documentation.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while also being a team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, local authorities, and lawyers effectively.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex legal issues.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel to Alibaug as needed for site visits, legal coordination, and survey activities.
  • Must be fluent in English and Marathi

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
