Job Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a compassionate Legal Intake Specialist to join our personal injury law firm. In this vital role, you will manage the initial intake process for potential clients seeking legal assistance, ensuring they feel supported and understood during what can be a challenging time.

As the first point of contact, you will gather essential information from clients, assess case eligibility, and facilitate a smooth transition to our legal team. Your effective and empathetic communication will be instrumental in building trust and rapport, as many clients may be experiencing stress or uncertainty following an accident.

In collaboration with attorneys and support staff, you will streamline the intake process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and prepared for further legal action. Your organizational skills and insights will enhance operational efficiency and contribute to a positive client experience.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients via phone, email, or in-person, creating a welcoming and supportive environment to make clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences.
  • Collect and document essential details about potential personal injury cases, including accident specifics, medical history, and any relevant documentation, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Enter and maintain accurate and confidential records in the case management system, ensuring all client information is up to date and compliant with legal standards.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments or consultations with attorneys and prepare necessary documentation for a seamless client handoff, ensuring that the legal team has all relevant information.
  • Work closely with attorneys and support staff to streamline the intake process, sharing insights and feedback to enhance overall team efficiency and client satisfaction.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role
  • Strong ability to build rapport with clients and communicate effectively, demonstrating empathy and clarity during initial consultations.
  • Proficient in assessing case details for eligibility, with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple cases efficiently.

Work Environment:

This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely requires working with standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and the like.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with a work schedule from Monday to Friday. While hours may be adjusted, employees in this department typically work an eight-hour day between 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The position may also require additional hours (overtime), and the schedule may be modified based on operational needs.
