Job Title: Legal Intern – Summer 2026
WoodmenLife is looking for a Legal Intern to join our team!
Ready to make an impact this summer? In this role, you will assist with a variety of legal and compliance functions by providing support that will help the Legal Division meet daily objectives. Accomplished through exposure to the planning, execution and evaluation stages of various work projects and initiatives, to gain workplace experience in the insurance industry, specifically gaining exposure to the following legal areas: claims, fraud, contracts, technology, employment, and compliance.

We are looking for someone to:- Gain broad exposure to the WoodmenLife organization by meeting weekly with the Internship Cohort, collectively with Executive Leadership, and one-on-one with leaders at the division level.
- Summarize and present capstone presentation of the internship experience including project accomplishments, skill development, and key learnings.
- Assist with legal research, analysis, and drafting across a variety of substantive legal areas including claims, fraud, contracts, technology, and compliance.
- Support legal staff in reviewing documents, preparing case files, and maintaining accurate records.
- Attend meetings and training sessions designed to provide exposure to corporate legal strategy and business alignment.
We Need Someone Who:- Currently enrolled in Juris Docter (JD) program
- 1 year completion of accredited law school education
- Strong academic record ranking in top 50%
- Ability to work 38.75 hours per week
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively while working collaboratively.
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office
- The ability to provide seamless, trustworthy, attentive and resourceful (S.T.A.R.) customer service.
