Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our in-house legal team. This internship offers hands-on experience in financial regulations, litigation, and NBFC operations under RBI guidelines. The intern will support legal drafting, regulatory research, litigation support, and operational legal tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Drafting & Review
  • Review, vet, edit, and detail legal documents such as loan agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, etc.
  • Draft notices, replies, and internal legal correspondence.
  • Litigation Support
  • Assist in preparing and filing civil recovery suits.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and follow up on case progress.
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Conduct legal research on RBI regulations applicable to NBFCs.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Operational Legal Tasks

  • Manage document printing, scanning, notarization, and record-keeping.
  • Maintain and organize legal files and databases.
  • Client Interactions
  • Support legal team communication regarding recoveries and legal issues.
  • Respond to basic client legal queries under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Law (3rd year or above preferred for 5-year course, or final year for 3-year course).
  • Strong understanding of NBFC operations and relevant RBI regulations.
  • Prior internship or academic exposure to financial laws, contracts, and civil litigation preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage both trivial and complex legal tasks with professionalism.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace.

Working Model

Work Hours: Flexible, with deliverables-based performance expectations.

Stipend: ₹5,000 per month (paid at the end of each month for the duration of the internship).
