About Us:
We are a busy orthopedic spine surgery medical practice committed to providing exceptional patient care. We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Legal Liaison to join our team and serve as the primary point of contact between our practice and personal injury attorney offices. This role is critical to ensuring seamless coordination of patient care, timely communication, and accurate documentation of patient cases.

Job Description:
The Legal Liaison will manage communications with attorneys, case managers, and legal assistants regarding patient cases, appointments, and recommended procedures. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, discretion in handling sensitive information, and the ability to work with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Clearwater, Ocala, Orlando, or Gainesville

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project-manage multiple patient charts simultaneously, ensuring all follow-ups and tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Delegate and oversee administrative and clinical tasks related to patient cases.
  • Handle incoming phone calls and emails from various legal offices.
  • Obtain and verify details from attorneys and legal offices, following up as necessary.
  • Manage the submission of updated medical records and billing ledgers to legal offices.
  • Communicate upcoming patient appointments, procedures, and case-related information.
  • Proactively communicate with attorneys, case managers, and legal assistants to ensure smooth coordination of patient care.
  • Document all patient interactions, updates, and communications accurately in our EMR system.
  • Collaborate closely with medical and administrative teams to ensure efficient workflows.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, professionalism, and responsiveness in all communications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and communication between the practice and legal offices.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in personal injury is highly desirable.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
