Job Summary
The Legal Manager is responsible for overseeing all legal affairs of the company, ensuring compliance with local and international laws and regulations. This role involves providing strategic legal counsel, managing corporate and contractual matters, mitigating legal risks, and supporting business operations with sound legal advice.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the company’s legal function, ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and corporate documents.

Advise management on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

Develop and implement effective legal policies, procedures, and contract management frameworks.

Oversee dispute resolution, arbitration, and litigation processes in coordination with external counsel.

Identify and mitigate potential legal risks, providing proactive solutions and strategic advice.

Ensure compliance with corporate governance standards, board resolutions, and shareholder documentation.

Conduct legal due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.

Liaise with government entities, external law firms, and regulatory authorities as required.

Supervise and mentor junior legal team members to ensure effective and efficient department operations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Law.

Master’s degree in Law is preferred.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in corporate legal affairs, preferably within large organizations or the construction industry.

Proven track record in contract negotiation, compliance, and dispute resolution.

Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Strategic mindset with the ability to provide practical business-oriented legal advice.

High integrity, sound judgment, and strong decision-making abilities.

In-depth knowledge of corporate law, commercial law, and regulatory frameworks.

Familiarity with arbitration, litigation, and contract management systems.

Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Experience with document management and legal research tools is a plus.

Excellent command of English (written and spoken).

French language proficiency is an asset.
