  • Provide sound legal advice on matters related to credit, loans, recoveries, investments, and overall operations.
  • Interpret and ensure adherence to cooperative society laws, RBI/NABARD guidelines (if applicable), and other financial regulations.
  • Draft, review, and vet legal documents including loan agreements, mortgage deeds, hypothecation, vendor contracts, MoUs, and other service agreements.
  • Ensure legal soundness in documentation related to property mortgages and member security.
  • Manage legal proceedings for loan defaults, including issuing legal notices, filing recovery suits, and coordinating with external legal counsel.
  • Represent the society in legal forums, tribunals, and courts when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory laws and regulations related to credit societies, including audit requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies like the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, ROCS, etc.
  • Identify potential legal risks in operations and advise mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain an updated risk register and legal compliance checklist.
  • Conduct internal training on legal aspects for branch staff and credit officers.
  • Develop and update internal policies, terms, and legal SOPs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
