Job Purpose
The Loyalty Product Development Manager is responsible for designing, developing, and launching loyalty products and programs that drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth. This role focuses on creating innovative, customer-centric loyalty solutions that meet business objectives and exceed customer expectations.

Product Strategy & Vision • Define product vision: Work closely with the accounts to set a clear, long-term vision for the loyalty product, aligning with overall business goals. • Strategic planning: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes initiatives based on accounts needs, business value and market trends. • New Markets: assess and study new markets to identify new potential markets • Market research: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to ensure the product remains competitive. • Customer-centric approach: Ensure that product development is rooted in customer needs and experiences, leveraging customer feedback, surveys, and market insights. 2. Product Lifecycle Management • End-to-end product development: Lead the full product lifecycle, from ideation and design through to development, testing, and launch. • Feature prioritization: Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, UX, engineering) to determine which features to prioritize based on customer demand, ROI, and feasibility. • Prototype and testing: Develop product prototypes, and conduct user testing to validate ideas, refine features, and ensure usability. • Product enhancements: Continuously improve the product post-launch, incorporating customer feedback, performance data, and changing market conditions into product updates. 3. Cross-functional Team Collaboration • Collaboration with IT and design teams: Work closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and QA engineers to ensure that product features meet the intended design and functionality. • Stakeholder management: Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales, finance, and customer support teams. • Cross-department alignment: Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure the product is aligned with other company initiatives and that dependencies across teams are identified and managed. 4. Customer & Market Insights • Customer feedback: Collect feedback from customers, sales teams, and support teams to understand pain points, desires, and areas for product improvement. • Competitor analysis: Regularly analyze competitor products to understand their strengths and weaknesses, and identify areas for differentiation. • User personas & segmentation: Develop detailed user personas and understand the specific needs of various customer segments to ensure the product appeals to a broad audience. 5. Product Roadmap & Prioritization • Create product roadmap: Build and manage a product roadmap that outlines key initiatives, milestones, timelines, and resources needed. • Prioritize initiatives: Use data-driven decision-making to prioritize product features or enhancements based on factors like customer demand, potential impact, feasibility, and available resources. • Resource planning: Ensure that product development is adequately resourced, working with team leads and other departments to allocate resources efficiently. 6. Metrics & KPIs • Set product goals: Establish measurable product objectives (KPIs) such as adoption rates, engagement levels, user satisfaction, revenue growth, and retention rates. • Track performance: Continuously monitor product performance using analytics tools, identifying areas of opportunity or concern and making adjustments to improve product outcomes. • A/B testing and data analysis: Conduct A/B testing to measure the impact of new features or product changes, and use data insights to guide decisions. 7. Product Launch & Go-to-Market Strategy • Coordinate product launch: Work with the marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure a smooth product launch, including crafting messaging, positioning, and promotional campaigns. • Customer education and training: Ensure customers are informed about new features or products and can easily understand how to use them. This may involve creating user guides, FAQs, or video tutorials. • Feedback loops: Create a system for capturing user feedback post-launch and making iterative improvements. 8. Risk Management & Problem Solving • Anticipate risks: Identify potential risks during the product development process (e.g., market risks, technical challenges) and create mitigation strategies. • Resolve roadblocks: Actively address challenges that arise during the product development process, whether they're technical, resource-based, or customer-related. 9. Budget & Resource Management • Budget management: Ensure the product development process is completed within budget, making smart decisions regarding resource allocation and cost management. • Resource allocation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that resources (people, time, budget) are being allocated efficiently to meet deadlines and product goals. 10. Continuous Learning & Innovation • Stay updated: Keep up with trends in product development, loyalty programs, and emerging technologies to introduce innovative features and keep the product competitive. • Continuous improvement: Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the product development team, seeking opportunities to refine processes, tools, and product offerings. Team leadership & development a. Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing team, providing clear direction, setting expectations, and creating an environment of accountability and trust. b. Talent Development: Identify individual team members’ strengths and areas for growth. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship to foster skill development and career progression. c. Performance Management: Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to review performance, provide constructive feedback, and ensure alignment with both individual and team goals. Address any performance gaps and implement action plans for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL
• Bachelor's Degree: Typically required in a field such as business, marketing, or product management. • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and interpretation. • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills. • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
