Duties

• Assist patrons with locating materials, answering questions, and providing excellent customer service to enhance their library experience
• Perform circulation transactions, and maintain accurate database information using integrated library systems
• Organize and file physical materials such as books, magazines, DVDs, and other resources for quick access and efficient storage
• Support library programs by preparing materials, setting up spaces, and collecting feedback for continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot basic computer software issues related to library management systems and provide support for digital resources

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with diverse community members and team members
• Proficiency in computer skills including typing, data entry, and familiarity with software troubleshooting
• Writing skills that enable clear documentation of procedures, reports, and correspondence
• Experience in customer service or public-facing roles is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
