Licensed and Registered Nurse (QHCP holder ) –who complied QCS 2024

The Construction Site Nurse is responsible for providing first aid, emergency medical care, and occupational health support to site personnel. The role ensures compliance with health, safety, and welfare requirements, particularly in a high-risk construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Medical & First Aid Duties

• Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance to injured or ill workers on site.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate with ambulance and hospital services.
• Maintain a fully equipped site clinic and first aid stations.
• Monitor and record daily medical cases and treatments.

Occupational Health Support

• Monitor workers for heat stress, fatigue, dehydration, and other site-related health risks.
• Conduct routine health checks (BP, temperature, basic assessments).
• Assist in pre-employment, periodic, and return-to-work medical checks as required.

HSE & Site Support

• Support HSE team in implementing health-related safety measures.
• Participate in site safety inspections focusing on welfare and health conditions.
• Report unsafe conditions that may affect workers’ health.

Records & Reporting

• Maintain medical records, injury logs, and incident reports.
• Assist in the preparation of accident/incident investigation reports.
• Ensure confidentiality of medical information.

Hygiene & Welfare Management

• Monitor cleanliness of site accommodations, toilets, and welfare facilities.
• Promote hygiene, sanitation, and infection control practices.
• Ensure availability of drinking water, rest areas, and first aid supplies.

Training & Awareness

• Conduct toolbox talks and awareness sessions on health topics such as heat stress, hygiene, and first aid.
• Train first aiders and support emergency drills.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Educational qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Years of experience: not less than 3 years
